Blind Contour
Blind Contour is a process of mark-making where the artist does not look at the paper or raise the tool while drawing. One must keep the hand and eye moving at the same pace or the drawings become very “wonky”. Images for this portfolio began as drawings in a sketchbook. The theme for the drawings are sites that I see often some daily. Intaglio process was used to create all of these prints and they are printed on Stonehenge paper. The plates are 5 x 7 and the paper is 11 x 13. An total of 8 editions are available and the prints are housed in a handmade folder with title page.
